Who can process my data and where is it stored?
We follow good data protection practices, and access to data is strictly monitored. As of May 25, 2018, the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) have been incorporated into our operations and are fully observed.
The customer register data is stored in a system that requires a username and password to access. The system is also protected by firewalls and other technical safeguards. Only certain pre-defined and trained employees of Elan Ski Shop Oy have access to the data. The information is stored in locked and guarded premises.
In some cases, we may need to transfer information to third parties, e.g., for storage, analytics, or marketing. We have strict contracts with all our partners, and these agreements comply with legal and GDPR requirements. Our partners are never permitted to use the data for their own purposes or share it further.
How long do we retain data?
We keep data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Customer account data that is inactive will be deleted no later than five years after the last activity. Some data must be retained longer if required by law, e.g., for accounting obligations.
Customers also have the option to anonymize their account, which means all personal data will be removed from the account and purchase history. How can I view or delete my data?
Customers always have the right to view their own data and request its deletion. Correction requests, deletion requests, or other inquiries regarding your data can be sent to: elanskishop@levi.fi
Data Correction
The data controller corrects, deletes, or supplements any incorrect, unnecessary, incomplete, or outdated personal information in the register, either on their own initiative or at the customer’s request. To request correction, please contact the person responsible for registry matters.
Will my data be shared with third parties?
Only in necessary cases, such as to enable payments, deliveries, or marketing. Address and contact details may be forwarded, for example, to delivery providers such as Posti, Matkahuolto, or DHL. Online store transactions are processed through the marketing and content platform we use for services such as email marketing. Payment transactions are provided by Klarna, and payment details are transferred via Klarna during the process. According to our agreements, these third parties are never allowed to use the data for their own purposes and only receive the information necessary to fulfill the service. All data transfers are carried out via secure connections.
